EDIM 507. Using Technology to Support Creativity Three credits In this course, students will examine the social and economic factors that are impacting the US economy and related labor market as a basis for exploring ways that technology can be used to increase teacher and student levels of creativity to position students for success in the future. Creativity will be examined as a overtly taught skill utilizing technology resources examining design, story, symphony, empathy, play and meaning (as described by Daniel Pink (2005) in A Whole New Mind). Teachers will learn how to apply skills through inquiry learning techniques. Teachers will also learn leadership techniques, which can be used to transform their school's learning environments. |
